Our success in assignment management largely derives from our commitment to operating transparently and to the systematic process described below.

We ensure that clients and candidates understand all of the ‘who, what, why, when, where and how’ issues as appropriate. This achieves clear expectations, clarity of communication and confidence in the process.

First meeting
Gain an understanding of the client’s business, circumstances and objectives. Explain our services, methods and relevant experience. Point out any conflicts and explain the benefits of our ‘off-limits’ policy.

Proposal
Includes an overview of the client’s business, circumstances and objectives, our recommendation, fees, an illustration of likely costs and our Terms and Conditions.

Client briefing
Meet the key decision maker(s) and influencers. Meet the previous jobholder if possible.

Specification
Includes a company profile, a summary including job description, competencies and outputs, duties and responsibilities, person profile, statement of opportunity and benefits package.

Research
Brief researchers on objectives and timescales and monitor results regularly to ensure that research direction and findings are relevant to the client’s needs

Advertised Selection
Where recommended, produce an advertising strategy, budget, media schedule, copy and artwork for client approval. Evaluate and administer all advertising response.

Candidate approach/evaluation/appointment
Telephone contact to targeted candidates where we succinctly describe and sell the client, role and opportunity. The client’s identity may or may not be revealed at this stage, as appropriate. We anticipate objections, qualify candidates against essential criteria, advise unsuitable candidates immediately and schedule a meeting with relevant candidates.

Candidate interview/sell the opportunity
Prepare a structured interview process based on criteria and competencies to objectively assess candidate fit to the specification. Present the client’s opportunity thoroughly and persuasively.

Shortlist
Select candidates on their suitability, circumstances and interest. Inform unsuccessful candidates and produce shortlist candidate reports promptly.

Shortlist presentation
Present shortlist reports in person. Assist the client in interview preparation and determining the decision-making process and goals e.g. maximum four weeks from first meeting to offer.

Client interviews
Co-ordinate and participate as required. Advise all as appropriate at each stage of the interview process. Obtain and communicate feedback and determine commitment to continuing.

Offer negotiations and close
Support the negotiation process, anticipate and supply information as necessary. Be an honest broker, balancing the best interests of the client and candidate. Complete all documentation and communication. Provide all with an opportunity to give feedback on our performance.
